2019-001: Flower Shop Quilt

In this class, you will learn half square triangles, and how to use a template to cut and sew clams & arches (curved piecing.) We aim to have at least one completed quilt block by the end of the class so you have the confidence and ability to complete the quilt at home.

This pattern makes a range of sizes from a 24" pillow to a 97"x97" Full/Queen quilt. You will be given a homework sheet with a full list of materials upon registration.

You will need fabric for the following:
-Background
-Petals
-Shadow
-Leaves
-Center
-Backing
-Binding

Please bring your sewing machine, power cord, foot pedal, thread, pattern, prepared and cut fabrics (see homework sheet for details), scissors, thread snips, fabric marking pencil or pen, fabric scissors, rotary cutter and acrylic ruler. We will have some of these items available to use during class, like scissors and snips, but it's always best to bring your own. Feel free to bring snacks and something to drink! Please be sure to eat dinner before you arrive as we will not have enough time to take a break.

The Cotton Farm will provide an iron, ironing board, cutting mat, ruler and rotary cutter to be shared with the class.
