How To Make A Quilt From Start To Finish

Join us every Wednesday for a six week quilting series. Whether you are brand new to quilting, you want to sharpen your skills or you're just interested in meeting with new quilting friends every week, this is the series for you! You will learn the process of creating a quilt from beginning to end. You will make five different star block designs and one setting block using simple squares, rectangles and half square triangles. This quilt only looks complicated!

We will make 17 10" blocks to create a quilt that finishes at 64″ x 84″.

Fabric requirements include:
(please refer to images for fabric examples)

  • about 2 yards of white background fabric
  • 1st border (red): 1/4 yard
  • 2nd border (navy): 1 yard
  • Binding (green): 1/2 yard
  • Backing: 5 yards
  • Blocks (assorted): a color palette of a variety of fabrics at least 1/4 yard, or fat quarters.

*Please note, the above requirements are for the printed fabric version, not the solid. The quilts in the image are not ours, the maker and designer of the pattern gave us permission to use her photos.
