In this class you will learn several techniques that are commonly used in many different types of patterns. You will walk away with a finished quilt top that showcases your new ability to sew triangles, squares and rectangles, foundation paper piece, and how to add sashing, cornerstones and borders. Kristi will give a demo on binding during the last class. We will aim to make two to three blocks per class.

15-20 fat quarters for a scrappy quilt
10-15 fat quarters PLUS 3 1/2 yards of background fabric
4 yards backing fabric
2/3yd binding fabric
Please bring the following to class: Sewing machine with power cord and foot pedal, thread, extra needles, pins, rotary cutter and small mat (both optional), paper scissors, fabric scissors -Notebook and Pen -Snack/lunch and drink The Cotton Farm will provide cutting and pressing stations and will have fabric, thread and notions available for purchase. As always, students receive 10% off on supplies used for the class.
Kristi McDonough is one of the owners of The Cotton Farm. She went to school for fashion design and has sewn everything from wedding dresses to couch covers. Her true sewing love is quilting, and it is there that her expertise really shines. She has been a blogger, pattern designer, and author in the quilting industry for the last 12 years.
