Midnight Owl Quilt Class



Specialty Patchwork Piecing gives you the look of foundation paper piecing without all the confusion. This technique is actually pretty simple...it only looks hard! Come learn one of our favorite types of piecing!

Pattern only
Requirements:
Please bring your sewing machine, power cord, foot pedal, thread, pattern, fabric, scissors, thread snips, fabric marking pencil or pen, fabric scissors, rotary cutter and acrylic ruler. We will have some of these items available to use during class, like scissors and snips, but it's always best to bring your own. Feel free to bring snacks and something to drink! You will need: PER OWL: Background Fabric: 1/8yd Head/Wing: One Fat Quarter Body: One Fat Quarter Beak/Pupils: 3"x8" or larger scrap Eyes: One Fat Eighth/Large Scrap (Please use the class listing photo for reference when selecting your fabrics.) Per Quilt (12 Owls): Background: 3 yards Head/Wing: 12 Fat Quarters Body: 12 Fat Quarters Beak/Pupils: One Fat Quarter Eyes: 1/4 yard Students receive 10% off their fabric/supplies purchase for their classes! The Cotton Farm will provide an iron, ironing board, cutting mat, ruler and rotary cutter to be shared with the class.

Instructor Bio:
Kristi McDonough is the manager of The Cotton Farm. She went to school for fashion design and has sewn everything from wedding dresses to couch covers. Her true sewing love is quilting, and it is there that her expertise really shines. She has been a blogger, pattern designer, and author in the quilting industry for the last 12 years. She loves to teach and is known for her unexpected use of fabrics and color.
